The British Council is a global leader in developing international partnerships between vocational colleges. We build partnerships through a process that is transparent, merit-based and reviewed by a panel of experts. Please visit our global site for more information.
We run training programmes across China that raise the capacity of Chinese educators by introducing them to areas of UK expertise. Our range of training programmes are tailor-made to individual needs.
- Leadership training: These interactive modules help technical and vocational education and training (TVET) leaders develop a long term vision and ethos for their institutions, manage their operations, inspire and lead their teams and drive institutional development.
- Quality assurance training: These workshops enable key subject teachers and faculty leads to enhance their research and development capability in working with employers on curriculum design, pedagogical innovations and teaching methodology.
- Teacher training: This programme is designed to enable local educational authorities to introduce the UK’s robust TVET quality assurance system in China and help local education authorities and schools set up internal and external quality assurance mechanisms.
- Apprenticeship assessor training: This programme instructs Chinese teachers and training managers on how to carry out competency based assessment, allowing them to accurately measure the work readiness of apprentices and young people on work placements.
