British Council China 2012

Andy Gotts, photographer and author, discusses an education and career that has led him to capture iconic portraits of some of the world's most prominent stars.

Andy, who is also former President of the British Institute of Professional Photography,  took his audience in China on a journey that has captured the portraits of well known Hollywood figures including  George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom and Kate Winslet. He particularly focused on his project inspired by the theory of ‘six degrees of separation’, which involved six years capturing portraits of Hollywood's elite, only relying on recommendations and referrals given by each sitter.

The resulting photographs from this project have been featured in magazines and publications across the globe, including GQ, Total Film, French and Italian Vogue, Glamour, Empire and Marie Claire.
