Leading specialists in curating and design, Catherine McDermott, Rebecca Sullivan and Tim Molloy, offer a unique insight into new approaches to science design.
Changing the way we think about the our worlds and future worlds, Catherine McDermott from Kingston University, Tim Molloy from the Science Museum and Rebecca Lynch from So Far, The Future Gallery, gave interactive presentations to students in South China.
As coordinators of Dream Lab, an interdisciplinary team challenge requiring participants to express scientific ideas through the medium of arts and design, the three speakers explored how curation can be used in broader contexts than museums and galleries. These new approaches borrow from the world of art, design, theatre and film to tell real stories to real people. 159 teams from 32 universities around China registered for the competition, part of the UK Now festival.
