About Smart Talk

Smart Talk aims to bring some of the best of British talent to China to give inspirational talks to young people and students, and raise their awareness of the pioneering work and projects going on in the UK.

Speakers come from a variety of backgrounds representing the diversity and strengths of a UK education. The talks give speakers a unique opportunity to interact with a new generation of young people who will play a key role in their nation’s development.

As part of the British Council’s Shakespeare Lives global campaign, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the great playwright’s death, Smart Talk will bring a number of Shakespeare experts to share their stories with students and members of the public in China in 2016.
