New Directions is a conference for English Language Assessment specialists in connection with academia, policy and practice; showcasing innovative approaches and research locally, regionally and internationally. The conference was held in Yokohama, Japan and aimed to bring international and national perspectives on trends and approaches in English language assessment. 

The key speakers included key thought leaders, policy makers, educational experts and tertiary education institute leaders in the field of English Language Assessment.
