Gordon Orr, Director and Chairman of McKinsey Asia, discusses the rise of the digital enterprise and the challenges and opportunities it presents to young graduates.
Gordon Orr, Director and Chairman of McKinsey Asia, is responsible for McKinsey’s client service in the region and was responsible for establishing their China practice, with the opening of offices in Shanghai and Beijing. Since 2003 he has been on McKinsey’s global board of directors and has over two decades of experience of working in China. An alumnus of Oxford University, graduating with a first class degree in electrical engineering, Gordon has a wealth of experience advising some of the world’s most powerful CEO’s and global leaders.
In a Smart Talk titled 'The Rise of the Digital Enterprise', he discussed with students how digital technologies will disrupt the global economy in the decade ahead, and who will thrive or struggle in this future economy. He also offered advice as to what kind of jobs will be open to future graduates and the skills they will require to succeed in becoming the next generation of global leaders.
