Miao Wang

Wang Miao holds a Master’s Degree in International Development and Public Policy Management from the University of Manchester. She is the founder of Better Blue, China's first marine NGO with UN ECOSOC consultative status.
An outstanding leader in ocean conservation, she became the first Chinese recipient of the UN Young Champions of the Earth award in 2018. Wang is dedicated to empowering the diver community to promote science-based and ocean-friendly interactions with marine ecosystems.
Her time at Manchester prepared her to amplify her message. Wang has spoken at key global forums, including the UN General Assembly and UN Environment Assembly.
