The webinars were designed for teachers of IELTS, and focus on the speaking and writing components as these two sections often represent the greatest challenge for candidates in East Asia. After attending the Webinars, teachers had stronger understanding of the official IELTS score level criteria for speaking and writing, and were more confident and capable in helping their students prepare for the test.
The aims of the project were to generate leads, support IELTS teachers and in turn learners, and demonstrate the British Council's Assessment Thought Leadership. The feedback for the event was very positive with an average of 170 participants attending the three two-hour sessions.
The thorough preparation for the Webinars ensured we delivered the best performance and stability for our attendees. Captured lessons learned and best practice was shared with RoEA team to help standardise this product moving forward.
