ABOUT

With the ongoing development of global higher education, it is becoming increasingly important to establish a modern system to govern and manage higher education institutions and facilitate links and synergies between higher education institutions and the government as well as society.

This conference will bring together higher education leaders and practitioners from China and the UK to frame the debate and facilitate discussion around the following questions:

  • What role should the government play in establishing links between higher education institutions and society, and the government?
  • How can higher education governance and management be enhanced?
  • How can collaborative innovation between government, universities, research institutes and industry be encouraged?
  • How can society engage with higher education institutions in terms of monitoring, assurance, evaluation and verification?
  • How can professional higher education managers be nurtured?

 WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Participants will include members of the Chinese Higher Education Association, Chinese university leaders, education commission officials, higher education researchers, PhD students, UK higher education practitioners, and other overseas professionals.
