I Ying Chan is a Researcher in the School of Clinical Medicine. Her work has led to tangible impacts in the community and beyond. She has coordinated a commissioned study which resulted in personalised smoking cessation programmes and a ban on e-cigarettes in Hong Kong,China. Her recent involvement in the research on pharmacoepidemiology during COVID-19 has also offered valuable information for a rational and informed choice of COVID-19 vaccines for patients. The findings, which have been published in high-impact journal and presented at various local and international research meetings and press conferences, have achieved a significant social impact.
