In this session, academic speakers from Norwich University of the Arts, University of Portsmouth and University of Warwick will introduce the UK's creative arts and design courses and paths to creative careers. Moreover, a panel of current and former students will also share insider information on studying in this field and living in the UK. 

After the presentations, participating universities will provide further information about their institutions, course offerings, scholarships opportunities, and other topics in individual Zoom breakout rooms. So prepare your questions and be ready for this interactive talk!

Martin Schooley is the Head of Graphics at NUA and has been involved in graphic design education for over 18 years. Martin’s students have won over 80 awards from all the major national and international design competitions and found employment with some of the most high-profile design studios in the UK and abroad. Martin W. Andrews, Architect (RIBA, ARB) 
Associate Dean: Global Engagement & Education Partnerships  

Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries 
University of Portsmouth

Martin is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and an Architect (RIBA, ARB). At Portsmouth, he is the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries - responsible for international academic partnerships and global engagement work. His research focuses on teaching and learning in Architectural Education. [Profile

Dr Jonathan Vickery 
Director of the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies 
University of Warwick 

Dr Jonathan Vickery is the Director of the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies. As a student, he studied art, design and art history, and since he has been involved in a range of cultural projects, advising theatres, festivals and cities on culture and creative industries, and has helped young people 'start' up' creative businesses. He is aware of the need for courses that combine study with career-led skills. [Profile
