The British Council is running its first global online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conference from 5 to 9 October 2016.
Teaching for Success:
Teaching for Success helps governments and international agencies transform the quality of teaching in primary and secondary schools. It exemplifies the British Council’s vision that all teachers in the world have the high-quality continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities that improve their own professional understanding and practice and their learners’ success.
Conference Aims:
The conference is designed to generate meaningful and sustainable dialogue among participants and speakers around a number of CPD-related themes. Participants will have a clear idea of the Professional Practices, the frameworks and how these fit into the wider perspective of teacher development.
Conference Format:
All the presentations at the conference will be short – either 20 or 30 minutes – and are designed to engage participants in discussion, debate and reflection. Recordings of talks will be available and developed into accessible, bite-sized professional development resources as part of the British Council’s Teaching for Success approach.
Conference Timetable:
The conference will run from 12.00pm – 17.30pm UK time each day.
