The Study UK Alumni Awards recognise and honour the outstanding achievements made by international alumni of a UK higher education. Award recipients are leaders in their respective fields, be it as entrepreneurs, professionals or social change makers. All of them will have used their UK education to bring positive change to their communities, industries and countries.

On 25 November, the British Council announced the recipients of the Study UK Alumni Awards 2017-18 in China, at an awarding ceremony in Beijing. In total, four UK alumni in China were recognised for their outstanding achievements as business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and for their important contribution to strengthening collaborative ties between the UK and China.

The award recipient for the Professional Achievement Award went to Professor Ji Jiafu. The Social Impact Award was presented to Ni Huan, and Lu Gang received the Entrepreneurial Award. This year, China’s Spirit of Youth Award was awarded to Zhao Jing.

Since the awarding ceremony in China, Professor Ji Jiafu and Dr Lu Gang won the East Asia regional Alumni Awards in their respective categories.
