Li Rui is Director of the British Council in Southwest China, responsible for UK’s cultural relation and education exchanges work in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou provinces and Chongqing municipality, and leading on British Council physical education programmes in China.
People to people exchanges have always been Li Rui’s passion in his career. Since joining the British Council in 2009, he has managed various programmes, such as English, Physical Education, Social Entrepreneur and Higher Education Partnership, and built extensive partnership network among governments and professional institutions in the UK and China.
Li Rui graduated from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China for bachelor's degree and University of Manchester for master's degree. Before joining the British Council, he once worked for a Fortune Top 500 IT company and an international leading organisation in language assessment.
