The British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme aims to enable a substantial increase in the number and range of pathways and new opportunities for UK and overseas institutions and stakeholders to connect, share knowledge and collaborate directly.
The British Council China launched the 2023 UK-China Institutional Partnership Exploration Fund in July 2023, which is designed to explore new opportunities, develop new partnerships, encourage innovative and sustainable collaboration, so as to contribute to a long-term and sustainable UK-China higher education cooperation.
We are pleased to announce that ten proposals have been chosen for funding, out of more than 40 high quality applications from UK universities, by the Review Panel team comprised of British Council and HE experts from the UK and China. Selected proposals cover areas including STEM, health, design and education, with projects ranging from developing transnational digital learning for healthcare education, training the future generation of industrial designers, creating a green, zero-carbon water future, and many others.
Seed-funding have been provided to each winning UK institution to partner with China for projects that will develop new partnerships and deepen institutional ties, while delivering real benefit to the education sectors of both countries.
All future grant opportunities will be shared through the British Council Going Global Partnership website. Institutions are encouraged to set up email notifications to ensure you find out about all future opportunities.
